Hi, I'm Tory McClure. You may remember me from such
domains as "dragoon.nu" and "soul-perch.org". Today,
I'm here to tell you about my new domain, valendia.ws.

Nostalgia + Dreamhost + Godaddy + Vagrant Story + Metric = valendia.ws.

Why? I missed tinkering in Photoshop and making shrines. I like to write and shrines are a good way to practise/procrastinate. Plus, I missed being a part of the community. I don't expect to be very active (especially not with some upcoming super awesome exciting life changes), but I find this hobby relaxing and a good way to switch off for a few hours. So I'll be around, lurking as before. I expect to have sporadic bouts of productivity, with long periods of static in between. But at the very least, all my sites will be back up again. I've missed them.

Name? Valendia is a kingdom in the very fantastic Vagrant Story. It's been a long time since I've played Vagrant Story, but I had just downloaded it for the PSP when I decided to go shopping for a new domain. (I will get to playing it after I finish my replay of Final Fantasy IX on my PSP ♥) It was one of the first names I tried, but it's taken in the more popular TLDs. So I tried other names, but I kept coming back to Valendia. What the heart wants and all - and it wanted something short (in a similar manner to dragoon.nu). So I decided to go for a .ws domain. I've never had one before and they're a lot cheaper than .nu domains. None of the other valendia domains were in use at the time, and I figure people shouldn't get too precious about fandom related domain names anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Layout? This layout was made in Photoshop CS4. I figured a Vagrant Story theme was suitable. I'm rather rusty, and it was hastily made, but I'm happy enough with it for the moment. I'm still settling back in and trying to figure out important organisational issues. It was tested in Firefox and Safari.
